Intype
Update: Scripting with Node.js, Manual and more

First, let us thank you all for supporting us. It’s been a rewarding month for all those years of development. But as we said already, this is just another start.

Scripting with Node.js

This is the primary task we are focusing on for 1.1.0 release. We have made a huge step towards language-specific features. We now have a working Intype with Node.js in the background. Intype is able to seamlessly launch JavaScript through Node.js. See more in our previous post on Intype with Node.js as well as in the discussion on the forums.

The next step here is to replace current “Intype log” with an output window much more helpful in context of scripting. The step after that is to provide some basic API and push the unstable out of the door to let you test it.

Manual

Although it’s not finished, we have published our manual section. Feel free to ask any questions, or provide feedback on our forums (see below). Any question asked helps us in setting the priorities for the documentation and to constantly move towards a full-blown manual.

Forums

We are back with community forums providing the home for the community. We still keep monitoring the intype-public group, stackoverflow.com, twitter and other sites where questions are being asked.

Please join our Feature requests category on forums, where we are trying to design future features. Any idea or opinion is welcome and will help us immensely. Pssst, there is a gossip that we will be rewarding most active users, but again: pssst!

…and more

Word on the street is that Juraj is now looking into FTP/SFTP/FTPS/SSH and others to join our feature list. There is no timeframe yet, but we are sure your feedback and applause will help him a lot. We’ll get back to you on this one with more info.
